The Circle | Terms and Conditions of the "Mugler Circle" Program


Clarins Fragrance Group, a simplified joint-stock company with a capital stock of 30,280,000 Euros, headquartered at 1 Park avenue, 19th floor, New York, NY 10025, USA, registered in the Trade and Companies Register of Nanterre under the number 380 363 754 RCS NANTERRE, is the initiator of the "Mugler Circle" loyalty program, which can be accessed at the following URL:


IMPORTANT: These Terms and Conditions define how the "Mugler Circle" loyalty program works and specify the provisions governing the relationship between CLARINS FRAGRANCE GOUP (hereinafter "CFG") and each of the participants in the program.


Each participant has read these provisions in their entirety and accepts them without reserve.



Preamble: definitions


In these Terms and Conditions, the expressions below shall have the following meaning:


"Unique Code": the unique code is printed inside your Thierry Mugler Perfumes product box. It comprises 11 characters.


"Website": the website is both the corporate and e-commerce website of the Thierry Mugler brand. It provides access to the "Mugler Circle" loyalty program. The website is published by CFG.


"Participant": any consumer who purchases a Thierry Mugler Perfumes product from a licensed physical or virtual retail outlet within the CFG selective distribution network, or from the e-commerce website, and who gives his/her consent to CFG to participate in the "Mugler Circle" loyalty program.


"Program": the "Mugler Circle" loyalty program set up by CFG.



I.        Terms and conditions for participation in the "Mugler Circle" program  

1 – Participation in the "Mugler Circle" program is open:
 - To all adults above 21 years old residing in all fifty U.S. states

- Having purchased a Thierry Mugler Perfumes product from a licensed physical or virtual retail outlet within the CFG selective distribution network, or from the brand's e-commerce website.

- Having also given their consent to CFG to participate in the "Mugler Circle" loyalty program:

        * By filling out the registration form aimed at collecting participants' personal information (last name, first name, mailing address, email address, unique code) and by returning it by mail together with a proof of purchase to Customer Service, 1 Park avenue, 19th floor, New York, NY 10025, USA.

        * By creating an online account at in the Circle section using the unique code

In order to ensure that his/her Thierry Mugler Perfumes product(s) purchased from CFG distributors or on the Thierry Mugler e-commerce website (online) are registered, the Participant must return by mail the Unique Code printed in his/her Thierry Mugler product packaging or, should the products have no Unique Code, return the proof of purchase to the customer relations department (Service Relations Clientèle). Participants can also enter their Unique Code online in their dedicated area on the website.


CFG reserves the right to refuse membership to any person not fulfilling the terms and conditions listed above.


2 - The Participant is entitled to withdraw his/her participation in the Program at any time. He/she must then notify the customer relations department of that decision by email at the following address or by mail at Customer Service, 1 Park avenue, 19th floor, New York, NY 10025, USA. Any purchases that have been registered by the Participant and not converted into surprises before the date of termination will then be lost.


3 - The Participant shall identify him/herself with each connection to the Website using his/her email address and a password chosen beforehand.


4 - Any changes in the Participant's personal information (address, name, or any other indication that may be required to manage his/her participation) should be communicated as soon as possible to the customer relations department by mail at Customer Service, 1 Park avenue, 19th floor, New York, NY 10025, USA, or online under the "my account" section.


Depending on their Thierry Mugler product purchase amounts, Participants in the Program may receive surprises or special benefits at the mailing address provided, under the terms and conditions defined herein.


II.        How the "Mugler Circle" Program works

CFG reserves the right to request the Participant's proof of purchase to validate his/her participation in the program and the registration of his/her purchases. 


The Participant may check that the Unique Codes which he/she entered on the Website or the proofs of purchase sent by mail have been taken into account in the "Your purchases" section on the homepage of his/her Circle area. Only the name of the purchased product is indicated, not its price.


It should be noted that, when Unique Codes or proofs of purchase are sent by mail, there might be a variable delay period before taking into account the corresponding products and having them appear under "Your purchases".


The Participant's account may only be credited once for each Thierry Mugler Perfumes product purchase.


The Program is formalized on the website through a virtual box with a lid that is lifted each time a Unique Code is registered. When a threshold is reached, an animation shows the consumer that he/she is going to receive a surprise.


CFG has prepared a surprise allocation scale based on the purchase amounts registered. It is deliberately concealed from Participants on the Website.


III.        Receiving surprises and special benefits

Purchase amounts are converted into surprises and special benefits. Surprises are allocated on a monthly basis depending on the purchase amounts registered by participants and the thresholds reached.


IV.        Exclusion of Participants

1- Any breach of the Terms and Conditions governing the "Mugler Circle" Program by a Participant or third party acting on behalf of a Participant, any misuse or fraudulent use of its benefits, any forgery of the information provided to CFG and any behavior by the Participant that is considered detrimental to the interests of CFG will automatically lead to the Participant's removal from the Program, in addition to the cancellation of the purchase amounts registered, without compensation of any kind.


 2- In the event of exclusion or account closure, the rights associated with the purchase amounts registered are lost, and the Participant or third/eligible party may not request the conversion of this amount into surprises or claim any compensation whatsoever.


V.        Accessing, ending and changing the "Mugler Circle" Program

1- The provisions of the applicable Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Circle relations department (Service Relations Cercle) at +33 (0)1 55 62 25 38 or In the event of any changes to legislative or regulatory provisions (French or European) that affect these provisions, CFG will be entitled to apply said changes immediately and to create a new version of the Website. These terms and conditions can be accessed and downloaded by means of the legal notice on the website, but they are also available on request.


2- CFG reserves the right to change the "Mugler Circle" Program at any time.


3- CFG is entitled to end the "Mugler Circle" Program at any time. The purchase amounts registered by the Participants will then be considered lost.


VI.        Personal data

1 – In accordance with the French Act No. 78-017 of 6 January 1978 on information technology, data files and civil liberties, the Participant is informed that the personal data concerning him/her will be subject to data processing. In application of Article 27 of this law, the Participant has the right to access and rectify the data concerning him/her.


2 – The Participant is informed that he/she has the right to access, oppose and rectify the information regarding him/her held by CFG and which is subject to computer processing. This right of access, opposition and rectification may be exercised by mail to the customer relations department (Service Relation Clientèle) at the following address: Thierry Mugler Parfums –12 Avenue de la Porte des Ternes – 75017 Paris, France.


3 - The information obtained from Participants is intended for CFG to know them better, to adapt the "Mugler Circle" Program to their needs and to manage said Program by recording the Participants' purchases to enable them to receive surprises from the brand. Accordingly, CFG may, unless otherwise requested by the Participant from the customer relations department or by email on the Website, contact the Participant with marketing information.
